Description
This area beginning about twenty miles northwest of Lexington, Virginia, is a water gap, or gorge, formed by the Maury River, as it runs through Little North Mountain in the Appalachians. Goshen Pass has seen many a cadet from Virginia Military Institute with a date on his arm drive to a picnic in this beautiful setting in order to take a brief break from the rigors of VMI, however, usually in early fall or in the spring. Of course, nowadays, that cadet may be a male or female hosting a date in a wondrous landscape.
