Description
In all but winter, the Grand Prismatic Spring is a most colorful sight. In the winter, its colors are somewhat muted and, to varying extents, a cloud of fog hangs over the spring due to the low temperature dew point spread. It is also the largest hot spring in the United States and the third largest in the world. It was named for its vivid and striking coloration. This spring is located in the Midway Geyser Basin in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming.
