Artist's Description
This male bighorn sheep (Ovis canadensis) was resting in a Boulder City, Nevada, park in September 2016. A photographer who lives in Las Vegas and was on a white water rafting trip down the Colorado River through Grand Canyon National Park just a few days prior to my taking this image, suggested that I visit this park in the afternoon, as a small herd of these magnificent animals frequently grazes there at that time. I was fortunate on arriving to find numerous sheep taking in the beautiful day. The horns alone may weigh up to 30 pounds, while a male may weigh up to 300 pounds (Source: https://en.wikipedia.org /wiki/Bighorn_sheep).

While in Southeast Asia in 1970-71, his interest in photography intensified with the purchase of his first two of numerous Nikon cameras. Black and white, as well as color, 35mm, and Super 8 movie films were used at the time. The transition to digital...
