Our luxuriously soft beach towels are made from brushed microfiber with a 100% cotton back for extra absorption.   The top of the towel has the image printed on it, and the back is white cotton.   Our beach towels are available in two different sizes: beach towel (32" x 64") and beach sheet (37" x 74").

Don't let the fancy name confuse you... a beach sheet is just a large beach towel.

Artist's Description

The Vietnam Veterans Memorial, known as "The Wall," is a solemn tribute to those Americans who died in the War in Southeast Asia, known to most as the Vietnam War. The memorial was designed by Maya Lin. The names of 58,191 American men and women having served in the Armed Forces were listed on The Wall when it was completed in 1983. As of May 2015, there were 58,307 names, including approximately 1,200 who are Missing in Action (MIA) and are known to have been Prisoners of War (POWs), for whom all, as yet, are unaccounted (See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vietnam_Veterans_Memorial). By design, one of the two segments of The Wall points to the Washington Monument, while the other points toward the Lincoln Memorial. As a veteran of that war, I have visited this memorial on numerous occasions to show my gratitude and respect for those who gave their lives in service to our nation.

Don Mercer is an author and freelance fine art photographer. Research for one book took him to the middle of Cambodia in 1999, as he was the first from among his wartime unit to return to that country. During the War in Southeast Asia - known to most as the Vietnam War, he flew over two hundred combat missions as an Air Force pilot in the Cessna O-2A. His combat assignment was as a Forward Air Controller, or FAC. The majority of his combat missions were flown in Cambodia at night. While in Southeast Asia in 1970-71, his interest in photography intensified with the purchase of his first two of numerous Nikon cameras. Black and white, as well as color, 35mm, and Super 8 movie films were used at the time. The transition to digital...
