Description
When tenting for a few days at Ohanapecosh Campground in Mt. Rainier National Park, Washington, I rose early and drove just under an hour to Sunrise Point, at an elevation of 6,100 feet. The views from this overlook are outstanding, even more so when shooting before and during sunrise, and also when capturing nightscapes. The marine layer of clouds, a low layer of stratus clouds formed near oceans, had been present though the night and made the scene all the more photogenic. The blue hour just prior to sunrise added all the more to the beauty that morning, as seen from Sunrise Point.
